Venture Young Adult Ministry

Does life seem like a purposeless, never ending series of steps preparing for an uncertain future? Are you lonely? Do you long for hope and meaning? Are you between 18 and 35? Then embark on the Venture, a Christian discipleship group for young adults sponsored by Church of the Redeemer (Camden 252- 337- 7177). Venture meets at Muddy Waters Coffee Shop on Main Street in Elizabeth City on Thursday nights at 6:00. Venture will include a methodical and wholistic study of the Biblical narrative, instruction on Spiritual disciplines, and fellowship! Not a Christian? Come anyhow! Be found by Love Himself, and journey with us as we undertake the Venture!

  • Attend the meetings regularly
  • Participate in communal worship at least once a week
  • Partake of Communion often
  • Read the Bible and Pray Daily
  • Begin to incorporate some of the practices learned at Venture

 Venture is inspired by C.S. Lewis’ The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, Mark Galli’s Beyond the Smells and Bells and Bartholomew and Goheen’s The Drama of Scripture. Reading these works would be very helpful.
