Mission Statement

The mission of the Church of the Redeemer (Anglican) is to serve our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, to preserve and teach the truths, values and beliefs of the historic and apostolic Christian faith, and to affirm the authority of the Bible as the rule for our lives. 

As a loving, caring congregation, we reach out to each other, to our community and to the world -- boldly sharing the Good News that salvation comes through Jesus Christ alone.

Who and What We Are

The Church of the Redeemer (Anglican) is a congregation which was formed in 2006 to establish an orthodox Anglican presence in the Elizabeth City and Camden, North Carolina area.  The congregation is under the jurisdiction of The Rt. Rev. John Guernsey, Bishop of the Diocese of the Holy Spirit. This diocese is part of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA).  We are also a member church of the Anglican District of Virginia (ADV).   As a member church in ACNA, we are a part of the over 70 million member worldwide Anglican Communion.
