Meet our new Rector, Craig Stephans, his wife, Missy,
and children, Madeline and Jack.

Craig Stephans comes to Church of the Redeemer after completing his Masters of Divinity
at Trinity School for Ministry in December 2009. Craig was ordained to the Holy Orders of
Deacons by the Rt. Rev. Mark Lawrence of the Episcopal Diocese of South Carolina. Craig,
his wife Missy, and children Madeline and Jack had lived in Charleston, SC prior to moving
to Ambridge, PA in August 2007 for Craig to attend seminary.
Craig has been active in Christian ministry since graduating from The Citadel in 1991 with a
B.A. in English Literature. He later earned a graduate degree in counseling from The Citadel.
He has worked in the fields of counseling, psychiatric care, sales and insurance. Craig and
Missy have been leaders in interdenominational churches and completed the Ministerial Internship
Program with the Church of God before joining the Episcopal Church in 2003. Craig also served
on the boards of YoungLife Charleston and the Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy.

Rickie Steenstra –
Pastor
Rickie has been the pastor of Redeemer since our first
service in October, 2006. She is now taking a new role,
and with our Deacon, Fred Moncla, will form a clergy support
team for our new rector, Craig Stephans.
