You are encouraged to join with others in praying for one another. We have several venues for prayer and Bible study.

Men's Prayer Group -- All men are invited to the City Wine Sellar every Tuesday morning from 7 am to 8 am for devotions and prayer. This is a powerful prayer group that has witnessed miracle after miracle by God. The City Wine Sellar is at the corner of Main St and N. Water St in Elizabeth City.

Women's Prayer Groups -- Tuesday mornings at 7 am at Cecelia Dudley's house 914 McPherson St, Elizabeth City & Tuesday evenings at 7 pm at Theresa Moore's house 140 Sutton Dr, Elizabeth City.

Intercessory Prayer for the Church -- Thursdays 1:30-2:30 at Church of the Redeemer

Morning Prayer -- Monday - Saturday 7am at Church of the Redeemer

Personal Prayer -- Contact the Rector, Craig Stephans, for a time of personal prayer.

Armstrong Home Group -- 108 Harrell St, Elizabeth City. 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of the month at 1:30 pm.

Hertford Home Group -- 122 Big Flatty Creek Rd, Albemarle Plantation, Hertford. Every Thursday evening at 6:30 pm.

Stephans Home Group -- 106 Breezewood Dr, Elizabeth City. Every other Friday from 6 pm to 8 pm. Babysitting available.

Camden Home Group -- 110 River Rd, Camden. Every other Wednesday at 7 pm.

Riverside Home Group -- 808 Riverside Ave, Elizabeth City. Every Monday at 5:30 pm.

Breezewood Home Group -- 304 Breezewood Rd, Elizabeth City. Every other Thursday at 7pm.

Contact the church for details about current offerings. Nursery is also available during this time. Bible study is also a part of the prayer ministries and home groups. All members of the church are encouraged to read and study the Bible as the inspired word of God.

Join this ministry by baking food or donating helpful items. Our soldiers let us know again and again how much the care packages mean to them.

We believe God heals by answering our prayers and by giving us gifts for healing. We also visit the sick at home and in the hospital for healing prayers. Craig Stephans has been Rector of Church of the Redeemer since February 2010. He graduated from Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry in December of 2009. He was ordained to the priesthood by the Rt. Rev. John Guernsey, Bishop of the Diocese of the Holy Spirit of the Anglican Church of North America.

Craig has a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master's degree in Counseling from The Citadel in Charleston, SC. Craig, his wife Missy and their children Madeline and Jack live in Elizabeth City with their golden retreiver Henry.

Prior to attending seminary, Craig had worked in the fields of public relations, sales & marketing and counseling. Since graduating from college in 1991, he has been active in ministry in inter-denominational churches and the Church of God (Cleveland, OH). He and Missy joined St. James Episcopal Church in Charleston, SC in 2002 and moved to the Anglican Church in January 2010 after completing seminary. Craig is the author of a book on the Bible and Shakespeare on Spirituality: Life-changing Wisdom from Shakespeare's Plays. You can read many of Craig's writings at www.craigstephans.wordpress.com.

She continues to serve as priest and is leading the initiative of planting a new Anglican church in Nags Head, NC.

He leads morning prayer each morning at the church, helps to plan and assist with worship and provides pastoral care to many, including his handful of children and grandchildren at the church.
